Information we collect during the buy or Registration processes
When you purchase, register or renew a StudentCard you will be asked for information in order for us to process the right type of StudentCard. This is based on location, institution and enrolment status. Additionally, information may be collected to facilitate your entry into a competition, or to help us further segment the demographics of our customers based on location, institution or discount interests.
When you first buy or register on the site your e-mail address and password will be encrypted and stored in our secure database. This password will never be disclosed to any person. By agreeing to the StudentCard Privacy Policy you give permission for this data to be stored in a secure environment for this purpose.
Information we collect through cookies
We may collect information about your navigation through our site to record traffic data and resources that you access and use on the site. We store information using cookies, which allow us to recognise number of visitors and to see pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We may use this information to make our Site and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. Use of your information
Your information will enable us to provide you with access to specific competitions we offer through our Site and App and to let you know about other discounts and services which we offer which may be of interest to you. We may share your information with your institution where your institution has provided your StudentCard membership in conjunction with your formal ID card.

Any activity on the “Site” or “App” which seeks to gather information intended for a competition entry or to facilitate remarketing by a 3rd party brand shall be fully disclosed within the terms and conditions of the competition.

You are entitled to see your information in our system and you may ask to make changes to ensure that it is accurate and you also have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes.
Please note that many of our competitions require an email address for entry. This is how we contact the winner. Asking to remove your email from a competition entry, or from our Site when it may have been used for an entry, before a winner is chosen, will inhibit your ability to win.
Competitions and Promotions
Any activity on the Site or App which seeks to gather information intended for a competition entry or to facilitate “re-marketing” by a 3rd party brand shall be fully disclosed within the terms and conditions of the competition. Please note that when entering a competition you are not required to purchase anything or redeem any specific discount to increase your chances of winning. If a competition or promotion cannot run properly because of fraud, hacking, technical errors or anything that is beyond our control which affects the running, administration, security or fairness of this promotion, we reserve the right to disqualify any person involved. We will also have the right to cancel, modify or suspend the competition or promotion. In the event of any dispute our decision is final.
